The Intel Teach Program Promotes the Effective Use of Technology in South African Schools (eLA 2007)

South Africa faces many challenges in incorporating information and communication technology (ICT) in its education system, including limited access to technology, a lack of teacher computer literacy, and a need for methodologies to help students use technology. However, with the Intel Teach Programme, South African teachers are learning to effectively integrate technology in the classroom and bring 21st century skills such as digital literacy, problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration to students.
