Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME), in conjunction with Business New Brunswick, is pleased to present International Development Days and New Brunswick Manufacturing Days 2007 jointly in one comprehensive event, being held from May 22nd to 24th in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
International Development Days (IDD) 2007 promises to be particularly exciting with the anticipated attendance of an Africa trade delegation, as well as the presentation of the prestigious 15th Annual Canadian Awards for International Cooperation at this year’s event.
Mr. Don Butler, Trade Commissioner from the Canadian High Commission in Kenya, is hoping to attend IDD in Fredericton, possibly along with a special African delegation. With the participation of Mr. Butler and the proposed trade delegation, IDD would be a particularly important meeting ground for Canadian companies to network and form alliances and partnerships for eLA.
The Canadian Awards for International Cooperation recognize the achievements of Canadian businesses and organizations in supporting sustainable economic growth and social programs to reduce poverty in the developing countries of Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in the countries in transition in Central and Eastern Europe. Over the last twelve years 96 companies, from over 750 applicants, have been recognized for their outstanding work in the developing world and countries in transition.
As well as the chance for attendees to meet with other organizations and potential partners, IDD will be an occasion to learn from Canadian and international companies and organizations who have achieved success in the global market space.
The event will offer a wealth of information, with approximately 20 learning sessions planned on topics including The New Reality of Global Business, Global Marketplace for Development, Global Market Outlook, Outlook for Canadian Manufacturing, and Opportunities to Work with Large Multinational Companies as a Sub-Contractor/Consultant.
As Canada’s premier event, International Development Days (IDD) 2007 is an opportunity for Canadian companies to grow their business into global markets and to make developing countries one of their company's biggest assets.
IDD 2007 will be held from May 22 – 24 at the Delta Fredericton Hotel. For more information and to register, visit www.cme-mec.ca/idd.
