Canadian Exhibitors at eLA 2007

eLearning Africa 2007, under the patronage of the Hon. Prof. George Saitoti, the Kenyan Minister for Education, Science and Technology, is focused on building a Pan-African educational event that will embrace all of Africa and nurture cross-border understanding and learning across the continent, and beyond. The event is expected to attract participants from over 80 countries and open the door for further collaboration and opportunity for the expansion of elearning in Africa.

A total of sixteen Canadian companies expressed an interest in exhibiting at this year’s event in Nairobi.

The Toonboom Group

QUThe Canadian Council on Africa (CCA), the organizer of the Canadian Pavilion exhibit space, selected 10 companies for funding consideration based on their ability to meet the selection criteria established by CCA with the assistance of the Canadian eLearning Enterprise Alliance (CeLEA). Of those companies, five exhibitors were selected to receive support from Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. The five companies chosen include Toonboom (http://www.toonboom.com/), Consortium for International Development in Education (CIDE), (http://www.cide.ca/), LearnNB (http://www.learnnb.ca/), Anyway Solutions (http://anywaysolutions.com) and TTG Systems (http://www.ttg-inc.com/).

Promotional materials from the other companies that expressed an interest in exhibiting will be available in the Canadian Pavilion. In order to provide these companies with exposure at the conference, LearnNB will be working with INK Media (http://www.ink-media.com/) of British Columbia; and CIDE will be working with Universite Laval (http://www.ift.ulaval.ca/) and uMind (http://www.videotron.ca/).

Smart Technologies, (http://smarttech.com/) from Calgary will also be exhibiting at the conference, and will be presenting a keynote address at the event.
