Survey on the Take-up of eLearning in African Organisations

Reliable data on eLearning in African organisations is rather rare. ICWE, in cooperation with the Swedish Programme for ICT in developing regions (SPIDER) and the ICT4D Collective/UNESCO Centre for ICT4D at Royal Holloway, University of London are conducting an international survey on the take-up of eLearning in African organisations and educational institutions.

QUIn preparation for the eLearning Africa conference African organisations are requested to respond to a questionnaire and to outline their activities and experiences with ICT-enhanced learning and training.

The purpose of this survey is to gather basic information on the working profile of organisations involved in eLearning in Africa, to gain an idea of the conditions under which eLearning activities take place in Africa, and to get some feedback on how eLearning and its challenges are seen by those who work with it.

The results will be published in a report that will be made available to all participants. It is also intended to include a catalogue with contact information on respondents willing to establish partnerships for eLearning work.

The survey questionnaire can be accessed by clicking on the link below or by copying and pasting the link into a browser as follows:

http://www.elearning-africa.com/div/Survey_Questionnaire_fr.doc (French version)

Participants can also contact survey@icwe.net to receive a copy of the questionnaire.

Response is important even if the questioned organisation is not currently involved in eLearning. All answers will be treated confidentially and will be used only in combination with those of other respondents.

The completed questionnaire should be sent to survey@icwe.net.
