eLearning Africa was launched on May 25, 2006 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
On May 26, 2006 eLearning Africa was launched in Addis Ababa, under the Patronage of H.E. Ato Tefera Waluwa, the Ethiopian Minister for Capacity Building and with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the European Commission and a number of donors, foundations and corporations. With more than 830 participants and 200 expert speakers from 80 countries eLearning Africa became the largest and most international capacity building event on ICT enhanced education and training ever organised on the Continent.
