Berhanu Beyene has studied Informatics, Management and Economics – i.e. Dipl.-Inf., B. Sc. Informatics, B. A. Economics. Currently, he is doing his PhD research in eLearning and ePortfolio-based Feedback System applications in developing countries at the Computer Science Department of University of Hamburg. He has many years of experience in Online Course organisation and management; consulting in ICT services, software development and project management.
Mr. Beyene has initiated and coordinates Intercultural Collaborative Online Learning for participants from different, African, Asian and European countries. Recently participants from USA and Australia have also joint his international courses.
Mr. Beyene is a founder and president of ASELEH e.V. (Association to Support eLearning and eHealthcare in Developing Countries) with a Head Quarter in Hamburg and cooperative institutions in various countries. Together with visionary colleagues, he has initiated and established the Ethiopian Computer Standardization Association.
