Damitha Dissakitti Karunaratna is Senior Lecturer at the University of Colombo School of Computing, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

• M.Sc. at the University of Swansea, UK (1991)
• Ph.D at Cardiff University, UK (2000)

Research Interests:

• Ontology Engineering
• e-Learning
• Geographic Information System (GIS)

Experiences:

• I have been teaching Computer Science courses at the University of Colombo School of Computing since 1990.
• Supervised many post-graduate computer science students since 2000.
• Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Education, Secondary Education Modernization Project (SEMP) Sri Lanka.
• More than 35 national and international publications.
