Cédric Wachholz

Mr Cédric Wachholz heads the ICT in Education Unit in UNESCO's Education Sector. From 2006-8, he worked for UNESCO's Assistant Director-General for Education, advising on and coordinating ICT for Education activities. Before (2002-2006), he was the Chief of the ICT in Education Unit in the UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau of Education in Bangkok. The team there is implementing regional ICT projects in the area of policy, SchoolNet, indicator development, teacher education and non-formal education projects. Cédric joined UNESCO in 1998, before he worked at the European Commission in Brussels and Vienna (1997-8), after spending a year with Medienbauhaus, a private Multimedia Company in Berlin. Cédric studied nine years (1987-1996) in Berlin, Paris and Montpellier, and holds an MA in Political Science, a “state exam” for teachers (Master's Degree) in Education and a diploma in International Relations from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris.
