Submission of Proposals

Submission of a proposal to give a Presentation in a Themed Session during the conference on Thursday, May 29, 2008 and Friday, May 30, 2008.

There will be several parallel presentation sessions addressing the themes of the conference. Presentations proposed should clearly address one of these themes. These parallel sessions provide presenters with an opportunity to share their experience or knowledge in their particular field of expertise and conference participants expect such sessions to provide practical advice and insight.

Presentations time slots vary between 15 and 30 minutes and all those whose proposals have been accepted, will be asked at a later stage to submit a 1500 word presentation overview for inclusion in the Book of Abstracts, as well as their presentation slides (if available) for the Conference CD. The deadline for the receipt of presentation overviews and presentation slides is Monday, March 17, 2008. A template will be provided for this purpose and also for a photo and short biographical description of the presenter (between 200 and 300 words).

All presentation sessions will have a chairperson appointed by the conference organisers some time before the event. The chairperson will be in contact with presenters in the lead-in period to discuss the internal organisation of the session and those taking part are expected to take part in this electronic dialogue to ensure the smooth running of the session.

All rooms at the conference venue have a standard set-up and those interested in giving a presentation during a themed session should aim to give their presentation with a minimum level of technical support.
