Submission of Proposals

Suggestion for a specific course to be included in a Best Practice Showcase during the conference. Best Practice Showcases are intended as an opportunity to really highlight excellent examples of eLearning courseware. Successful proposals will be chosen on the basis of whether or not they can be considered excellent in terms of any or all of the following:

• the level of innovation shown in either design or delivery
• the scale and reach of the course
• the success of the course in reaching its aims and objectives
• the context in which it is delivered

The format for these sessions is that those selected are invited to take part in a specific 90 or 60 minute session (each session to include between 5 and 8 courses). During this session they will be invited to give a maximum 5 minute introduction of their course to everyone in the room with minimum audiovisual support (i.e. not an actual demonstration of the course but simply a description of its background and subject area). After these initial introductions, each person presenting a course sits at a table where they can then show examples of the course on screen and/or with additional materials to everyone who visits their table wishing to see and find out more.

Please note that those making course presentations are expected to bring all equipment and peripherals necessary for giving the course presentation; although technical support will be available, the presentation of any sample courseware should be possible without any support from the conference organisers.

Contributions to the Book of Abstracts are not expected; however, a short and succinct description of the course and the person making the presentation will be publicised prior to the conference.
