Crafting Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships for Education

This workshop is being delivered by the ICT4D Partnership for African Higher Education Institutions, in association with the World Economic Forum and UNESCO’s Partnerships for Education initiative. It will be led by Prof Tim Unwin, UNESCO Chair in ICT4D at The Royal Holloway, University of London, UK.

   

Content:

This highly interactive workshop is designed to share understandings of the key success criteria for delivering effective and successful multi-stakeholder partnerships that use ICTs for education in Africa. It includes narratives, videos, small group working sessions, thought leadership presentations, and plenary discussions. The workshop addresses three main themes:

  • Challenges in using partnerships to deliver effective education strategies
  • Why multi-stakeholder partnerships can make a significant impact on educational delivery
  • Principles for successful implementation of multi-stakeholder partnerships
   

Target Audience:

Government officials, private sector companies (local and global), civil society, bilateral donors, international organisations and other related groups

 

Prerequisite Knowledge:

No prerequisite knowledge is necessary, but those who register at least ten days in advance of the workshop will be sent preparatory materials that can be read beforehand.

Outcomes:

  • Raised awareness of the benefits of multi-stakeholder partnerships in delivering ICT-based initiatives in African education
  • Shared experiences of implementing such partnerships at a range of scales and in different contexts
  • Understanding key principles for success in implementing educational partnerships
