Ebenezer Malcalm

Ebenezer Malcalm is a Professor of Instructional Design and Technology and the Dean of School of Graduate Studies at Ghana Communication Technology University. Prof.  Malcalm was the founding Pro Vice Chancellor for Laweh Open University College, the first Open University in Ghana.

Prof. Malcalm is also an experienced E-learning Consultant, Professional Development Consultant, Researcher, Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant, Communication and Development Consultant and Leadership expert. Prior to his graduate studies, he served as the General Secretary and National President respectively for the Ghana United Nations Student and Youth Association (GUNSA).

Prof. Malcalm has contributed immensely to the deployment of online collaborative learning under the flagship project-The Global Teenager Project in several schools in Ghana, particularly in junior and senior high schools. He has also served on a number of ICT in education committees, among them the National ICT in Education Policy and Planning Committee, ICT policy in Education committees and best teacher in ICT in education award committees.

Dr. Malcalm obtained a bachelor’s degree in Publishing Studies at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi, Ghana and a master’s degree in Population Studies. He also earned a master’s degree in International Affairs with a major in Communication and Development. He earned his Ph.D in Instructional Technology at Ohio University, USA.
