Thelma Quaye is the ardent believer in the future of Africa.
She heads the digital Infrastructure and Capacity building division of the Smart Africa Secretariat – a pan African organization based in Kigali – Rwanda with a membership of 32 countries across Africa. Among what she does is harmonization of policies and creating strategies in the areas of digital infrastructure, data protection and regulation, cybersecurity and capacity building for member countries across Africa.
Prior to the above, Thelma was the Chief Technical Officer for Airtel Ghana, a first across the Airtel Africa Operations. She also worked with the ITU, UN women and African Union in the African Girls Can Code Initiative, aimed at bringing Arts, fashion and ICT education to girls through coding. She is an advocate for Girls in STEM related activities and loves to spend time with family.
