Dr. Aster Minwyelet Addamu leads education and skills at the Human Capital Development, Mastercard Foundation. She graduated with a bachelors degree in Education from Bahir Dar University, a Masters degree in Literature from Addis Ababa University, a Master of science in curriculum and instruction from Universiteit Twente, and a PhD in Education from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She has been engaged in the education sector for more than 20 years, with roles ranging from assitant professor at Bahir Dar University, leading large scale early grade reading education programs implemented by international NGOs, and managing education and skills partnerships and portfolio at the Mastercard Foundation, including elearning initiatives. She has ample experience, expertize, and is passionate about higher education, education technology, teacher development, youth skilling and partnership for impact.
