Peter Pfaffe is a Researcher at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training in Bonn, Germany and Regional Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at iMOVE: Training - Made in Germany. iMOVE is an initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Its objective is to promote international collaboration and the initiation of cooperation and business relationships in vocational training and continuing education.
With a strong backround in Technical and Vocational Training (TVET) and African Politics, hois day to day work includes research and facilitation of international training collaborations between African and German partners.
Prior to the Institute, Peter was Associate Researcher at the University of Johannesburgs' Centre for Social Change and worked as freelancer.
Peter holds a Master Degree in Labour Policies and Globalisation from Berlin School of Economics and Law and Kassel University. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Industrial Sociology at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 2009.
Peter is a global citizen, has lived in four countries and has travelled to over 15 african countries.
