Emmanuel Abba is the head of media services at Centre for Open Distance and e-learning (CODeL), the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria where he leads a team of software engineers and content developers in translating storyboards from subject matter experts into interactive multimedia learning content.
Emmanuel is a software developer with a demonstrated history of automating processes for improved productivity in industry and effectiveness in academia. He has been actively involved in the development of several innovative solutions including the National disaster risk management information system for the Nigerian National emergency management agency, election monitoring software for the 2015 general elections and development of mobile enumeration applications for informal sector tax enumeration and collection. He holds a master’s degree in Cyber Security Science with research interests in threat modeling, data privacy, Information security in e-learning platforms and applications of blockchain technology for e-Learning.
Emmanuel is the founder of Logeak solutions ltd, an e-learning platform and content development company and lead developer for the GOPA-GIZ SMESabi project, an e-learning platform that provides mentorship and resources to entrepreneurs for starting and running a business through self-study or blended learning online courses delivered through web and mobile application with offline capabilities.
